Great value, good location
Fantastic value paid for 2 nights b and b.
The hotel is easy to find off j23a and has plenty of free parking. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and housekeeping of public areas was undertaken every morning. The room was spacious with a settee, and the bathroom has a great walk-in shower with good even water flow. The self service breakfast had plenty of choice. The hotel is very suitable if you have a vehicle, not too sure if you don't. Newport was a 15 min drive and Cardiff a 30 min drive. Chepstow about 10 miles mostly via motorway. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Smart comfortable hotel
A regular stay here
This is a stop-off for us and we have stayed here a number of times.
The rooms are clean and fresh and the bathrooms are plentifully supplied with towels. The staff are friendly and obliging. This last weekend was busy as there was a rugby international in Cardiff but we got to breakfast early. Breakfast is plentiful with a range of cereals, together with cooked items, bread and pastries. Only pizza was being served on Saturday evening but the area is being developed and there is now a Subway and an American-themed restaurant about 25m from the hotel.
Couldn't do enough to help
We stayed for 1 night with our 2 young children (4 and 11 months).
The room was big enough but slightly cramped once we put up the travel cot, but still ok for what we needed. Beds comfy and the room had all the usual you'd expect to make your stay comfortable (hair dryer, tea and coffee, tv, ironing board). The bathroom only had a shower which was ok but the glass sliding door was a great sense of fun for our children and could have done with a locking mechanism to stop it sliding.
My son has a nut allergy and the staff were more than helpful getting the allergen information for the food we had during our stay. The evening meal was ok (basic menus with burgers and pizzas etc) but next time we will be trying the sawyer bar and grill around the corner for a bit more variety. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty hot and cold choices.
Just off the M4, so very convenient.
Really nice hotel - first time I have stayed in a Hampton by Hilton hotel, Wi definitely stay again. Very clean, good quality furnishings and lovely powerful shower.
Clean and well appointed hotel foor the price.
Staff excellent and friendly . Good breakfast and evening meals. You need a car to stay here though, we spent over £100 in taxis for relitivly local travel during a 2 night stay and had long waits for those taxis.
We paid 55.20, for a family of 4 in August, breakfast included, so, to be honest, we weren't expecting much.
But the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was good, and the staff were all exceptionally welcoming and helpful. After a very long drive, the "snack bar" was a welcome surprise, with a good range of proper meals - children's menu; curry; salads - satisfying a hungry teenager, a picky six year old, and even a gluten intolerant vegetarian. We have stayed in many much more expensive hotels who could learn a lot!
Very impressed with the price we paid epically with it being a Saturday.
There was 18 of us in total a mix of mum's with daughter's that are dancers all a tad excited for Sunday's competition. Lovely pizzas an breakfast, excellent check in. Very clean and comfortable rooms..
Would highly recommend.
Have stopped here a few times now, hotel is very clean, modern and staff extremely helpful, breakfast is great and plenty of it, loads of choice, also has a gym.
Can't fault anything. Top Hotel.
