Very welcoming hosts, well presented accommodation, super comfortable bed and a huge breakfast.
Jewel in Scottish Borders
Excellent b&b in every respect.
Nothing is too much for the genial and attentive hosts.
Well worth a visit
Just had a 2 day stay at the Sorbietrees B&B and the reviews they have received are fully justified and you will not be disappointed.
Very easy to find thanks to Sandys directions....in a fantastically quiet/semi remote area. 5 minute drive or 40 minute walk to Newcastleton where you will find The Grapes and the Liddesdale .....perfect for your evening meals. At the Sorbietrees, John and Sandy are the perfect hosts, they cant do enough for you.....from handing you maps and tips about walks, cycling and horse trails, to ideas about what to do in the area. The room was clean and warm with all the usual amenities, the bathroom was seperate, across the hallway, but this was not an issue.....and they even supply all the bubble baths and dressing gowns!!!. Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful......you will not need lunch. There was an extra unique plus point in that the guests share a large breakfast table, an ideal way to get to know the other guests and so adding to the friendly atmosphere. Kielder Forest is just 20 miles away and if you get a soaking like we did, you can hang all your wet gear in the boiler room and go and sit in the front room with the log burner on. All in all The Sorbietrees was like a home from home and John and Sandy as I said before, were the perfect hosts, we will definately stay here again
