Spot on!

Booked at last minute and glad I did.

Lovely couple who were very welcoming, very helpful and considering I was the only person staying that day, made every effort to make me feel very much at home. It is the small touches that make all the difference - the kind offer of cake on arrival (home made I think!), calling the local pub to get me a seat for dinner, a tailored breakfast and the best bed I've slept in for a long time.

Felt more like home than an overnight stay. Thank you!

An excellent choice for our night away!

I picked Pine Lodge from an internet search of suggested places to stay in the Hull region.

Read a review or two and just booked it. We weren't disappointed. We had a warm welcome with coffee and cake. A lovely room and a great breakfast. Our only regret is that it was such a flying visit to the area to take our daughter out for dinner and home in the morning. Pine Lodge is in a beautiful area, in a quiet spot next to the church. We really should have had a walk around. I have no doubt that we'll be back.

A gem of a B&B

Carole and Ian are most hospitable and welcoming into their home.

Tucked away in the little town next to Ulceby (about 10 miles away from Hull via the Humber Bridge), it is quiet and peaceful. The rooms are incredibly well stocked, usually you would expect a soap and a tube of shower gel, but this had absolutely everything you could think of. I stayed in a very generously proportioned room and felt very very comfortable. Carole is extremely accommodating with the breakfasts, from the full cooked breakfast, to porridge, it is all exceptionally tasty, shared around their large kitchen table. All in all, it is very easy to understand why The AA rated this place so highly. On business, I prefer to stay in B&Bs rather than hotels, and this is definitely one of the best I have had the pleasure of staying in.
