Weekend walking break.

The hotel was a no frills hotel, just as they describe themselves.

The owners were the most welcoming of people I have ever met at a b+b, nothing was too much trouble, from fresh coffee on arrival and when I came in from a walk to their local knowledge which was very helpful. The room was basic but very comfortable, slept well in the longer than usual single bed after the excesses of the day, and the full breakfast really set me up for a good days walking.

Spinnerbottom night

The hosts Joan and John made us very welcome on arrival, with a pot of tea and friendly chat.

The room was large and comfortable with a king size bed that required us to phone each other to keep in contact. We slept well and then enjoyed a very good breakfast cooked by Joan. Our stay was over all too quickly. Thank you Joan and John.

love the breakfast

Lovely couple, very knowledgeable regarding the surroundings.

The rooms were immaculate with very comfy beds, a nice comfy cottage just like a proper b&b should be. Ideally situated there are a few good local pubs and places to eat in the area. Breakfast was excellent, a hearty full english including black pudding, setting us up perfectly for a walk up mam tor. Very welcoming and Joan even made us up two flasks to take with us on our travels, we left feeling as if we'd known them for years. Would definitely recommend and definitely stay again if we are in that neck if the woods again.

A credit to the B&B trade

Joan & John are a lovely couple who take pride in looking after their guests and are very knowledgeable about local eating and drinking establishments and local places of interest.

If you prefer you can bring in your own drinks and watch sky t.v in the lounge. They have a wide range of printed matter and maps available to guests for hikers and climbers as well as many places to visit if you’re not so active.

Joan offers a very full and varied range of inclusive breakfasts to start your day at a time that suits you best. The room we had in the family room had the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, and shower gel and shampoo was provided for bath or shower in the very upto date bathroom. All in all a very pleasant stay and we would definitely recommend this establishment as a good centrally based and competitively priced place to stay. Well done Joan & John you are a credit to the B&B trade.
