I booked this hotel specifically for the swimming pool but when I arrived I was told that it was closed for maintenance, I was very disappointed as it was my only reason for staying there.

When it did reopen it was full of children having swimming lessons, apparently the pool had been shut for a few days so the lessons had been rescheduled, as its only a small pool there was no chance of a quiet relaxing swim.

Breakfast is poor

I stay at this hotel several times a year because it provides excellent value for money and comfortable accommodation.

However, I have taken to eating breakfast at the nearby MacDonald's as £14 for breakfast is laughable, given that the breakfast chef only recycles eggs on an hourly basis and the other food is no better. The staff are exceptionally helpful, cheerful and efficient.

Would stay again

I stayed for 2 nights in Jan 2015 Positives Large bedroom Not too noisy overnight Very helpful reception staff, friendly and great with taxis etc Nice lobby area Comfy bed Very nice waterfall shower Negatives Some staining to carpets Corrider smelt of smoke - from smoking rooms.


Room however had no smell of smoke inside

Overall - very good value for money
