Excellent spot for walking in a quiet village with a local public bar.
The room need attention to the cleaning standard but apart from that the place is really nice. Dog friendly which is a bonus for a lot of walkers, plan to go back next Christmas.
Excellent room, staff and quality
This was trip down memory lane.
wife and I stayed here in 1977. when she died promised myself a quiet stay in memory of our visit. exactly what I was hoping to find and was not disappointed. well looked after in all aspects. completely satisfied.
Great Find in a beautiful part of the world
Lovely Twin room with comfortable beds, deep pillows and a smart contemporary bathroom with a great shower.
Staff were friendly and pleasant. The Riverside Inn does quality Pub food at reasonable prices and the Real Ale was kept to perfection. Breakfast in the morning was everything you could need to set you up for a days walking.
Decent accommodation but over-priced
Overall the hotel was very good with the majority of the staff being very attentive and helpful.
The breakfast was excellent and the room was well appointed. It was let down by a couple of points though. The first was the welcome we received. The receptionist was on a personal phone call when we arrived which she continued for around 5 minutes whilst we stood waiting to be checked in - this gave a very poor first impression. The other was the price of the accommodation: significantly greater than other places in the area but not supported by any special attributes of the hotel.
