Whoop Hall Hotel and Leisure
We requested a room change after staying the first night and having a very uncomfotable stay; concerns were a hole in the sink, stains on the carpet, faulty lamps, and beds that had springs coming through, light bulbs out, difficulty with window and curtains being held on with very few hooks and a towel rail that fell off when a hand towel was placed on it.
The second room was slightly better but after the toilet not being able to be flushed at 11 pm at night and the shower not functional in the morning and us having to get someone to come and twist the handle so hard no guest would ever attempt switching this on in fear of breaking it. Enough was enough. We asked to check out, no reduction in the price was offered for the two nights we stayed; we unfortunately had no choice other than to refuse the full payment and paid what we thought was more than generous, being a £100 per night. We were informed management would contact us for the rest of the payment and to discuss. They haven't called. Utterly dissappointing experience, ruined our only break this year!
Booked hotel and not informed of the wedding party that day, this took over the whole hotel and at no point did we feel like paying guests.
Owner/manager exceptionally rude and obnoxious to both staff and guests. The building was tired and outside dirty and untidy. Other staff were polite and pleasing. Restaurant cold and lacking atmosphere not helped by the adjoining wedding photo booth. An experience not to be repeated unless of course under different management and a refurbished!
