Our room was run-down, dirty, very noisy and way over priced.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the city

After growing up in Norwich, The Maids Head was always a familiar sight and it was great to have the opportunity to stay there while visiting over bank holiday weekend.

The executive suite was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were friendly. The hotel is in a great location, just seconds away from Elm Hill and within walking distance of some excellent restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

Great Location

Interesting Hotel in the Tomblands area of Norwich.

5 mins. or so walk from the main areas of the City, Castle, shopping etc. Public areas of the hotel are amazing with interesting pictures and architecture everywhere. Lots of comfortable seating. Good restaurant and bar. Breakfast is very good.Only small downside was our room was a little tired. Having Spoken to the management, restoration of the rooms is underway including new heating and cooling system - a mammoth task in such a historic building. Will definitely revisit next time in Norwich.

Really great customer service.

Room was a little dated though and a bit cold but bed was very comfortable. You could hear quite a bit of noise from the bars/pubs til at least midnight. Would stay again but would ask to be on the other side of the building away from the main street!!

Last minute stay

Found the hotel as well as the immediate area had huge amounts of character and history.

The room was well appointed and ideal for a couple traveling light. The room was on the front of the hotel so could not avoid the busy road outside, but noise was not that intrusive. A wedding reception taking place also did not result in any disturbance. The breakfast was exceptionally good with a buffet and a huge choice - even catering well for gluten allergy sufferers. Excellent staff and a generally lovely environment in which to spend time.

Very enjoyable

Shown room on arrival.

The description of an Executive Double does not match what you are given. There was no Historic Charm , no separate seating fact it was like a larger Premier Inn room. Spoke to reception about this .They were brilliant and I am sure will be taking up this totally wrong information with Late rooms. They very kindly gave us a lovely room with seating area and exposed beams. Breakfast was fantastic , staff are friendly and the location with car parking was and added bonus.

Lovely hotel, superb location but very noisy at night

Lovely hotel, great location with free parking, ideal for exploring the city.

However the room was very noisy late at night from people leaving nearby bars resulting in disturbed sleep. The window was broken so couldn't close it to block the noise. Would recommend a room that was not on Wensum Street.
