About the hotel

Ashleigh House is uniquely situated in a residential part of Torquay just a five minute walk from the Harbour and shops. Despite being so close to the Town it is very quiet. Guests will not be disturbed by traffic or noisy passers by.

Parking in Meadfoot Lane is restricted residents and guests only making it virtually traffic free, which guarantees a peaceful nights sleep and safe parking. Despite its quiet location everything that Torquay has to offer is within easy walking distance. Many guests choose to have a holiday from driving as the shops, beaches, restaurants, cafe bars, tourist attractions, theatres and travel links are all close at hand. Indeed, four of Torquay's best restaurants are within a ten minute walk! We have been running Ashleigh House since 1992 and have found a winning formula of clean, comfortable and well appointed accommodation at realistic prices with some of those little extras usually associated with more expensive accommodation. We want our guests to leave us feeling that they have received value for money. With four rooms we can ensure personal attention and a homely atmosphere. Three rooms have en-suite and our large family room has its own private bathroom. All rooms are comfortably furnished with good quality furniture and bedlinen and well maintained. All rooms come complete with colour TV, clock radio, beverage tray and towels and are cleaned daily. Here at Ashleigh House we take breakfast seriously. The buffet table offers a range of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, cereal bars and juice and a selection of teas and coffees. Then guests may choose either the Full English breakfast or pick from the Light Breakfast menu and each is freshly cooked to order. We have a small garden at the front of the house, with views across to Torquay toward Dartmoor. We are ideally placed for everything that Torquay has to offer. The shops, beaches, coastal paths and transport links are all within easy walking distance.

Lovely Room - Great Holiday Destination

Stayed for one night on business.

Warm welcome, great room - spotless and comfortable. Only drawback is breakfast timing - 8.30 to 9.30. I had to be up earlier for work and was offered toast and cereal but was rather sad to miss the cooked breakfast. Would have set me up well for the 12-hour day I had ahead. Would certainly book again if I were holidaying in Torquay. Great location. Lovely room.

Very Happy

Me and my wife stayed here for a break away from our children.

Our families live close by so thought we would leave the children with their grandparents and we would book somewhere to stay. We were a bit apprehensive at first because we are used to staying in hotels and B&B where you come and go with hardly any communication.

When we first walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome and by their dog Oscar. This was lovely as made us feel at home. we were taken to our room and left to do our own thing. we felt very comfortable and at home. The breakfast was lovely too. Will defiantly be going back again soon.
