The hotel staff were all very friendly & efficient.

Hotel is clean & public areas ok but our room was a little tired & dated although very large. Bathroom was tiny & bath difficult to get in & out of. Lots of steps along the 2nd floor landing too. It's about a 20 minute flat walk to Brighton. Price wise it's good value but next time we will stay closer to Brighton.

Excellant stay

My wife & I stayed for one night.

We where greeted by friendly staff who assisted with our parking, permit location of car etc. Nothing was to much trouble. Our room was a lovely size, the bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows & immaculate bed linen. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Our overall stay was great. Even down to the weather. Thank you

Nice calm quiet stay

The Imperial was calm, quiet place to stay for the most part, and we found it to be good value for money.

It was such a benefit to have somewhere to park (on-street parking, which was fine for us) and the 15 minute walk along the seafront into Brighton was pleasant. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. I would be happy to stay there again.

Good side: central, quiet and fairly cheap; helpful staff.

Bad side: Hove parking, sash window, fan and flush not functional in bathroom

Very comfortable stay

The staff were helpful and efficient.

I was pleased with the size of my single room and how quiet the room was in the evening. It was a great breakfast freshly cooked and given good customer service by the serving staff. Despite some previous comments, the night porter was very helpful and answered the door swiftly, even at 2am.

All in all, a very good stay.

Good hotel

Stayed for 2 nights whilst attending an optometry conference, first night I didnt sleep so well - mattress was firmer than what I was used to and pillow more fuller- both conspired to give me a crick in the neck in the morning.

I asked staff if they could place a mattress topper on bed for the following night - instead they upgraded me to a different room with a different mattress and i slept better there. Staff are polite and courteous and will do all they can to help. Breakfast is generally good - i would prefer back bacon to streaky bacon though. Nobody really needs the fat in streaky bacon in this day and age.

Nevertheless i can recommend the hotel - for me it was better than the travel lodge but not up to premier inn or best western, maybe they will catch up to these competitors as they continue their internal renovation program.
