Nice place run by nice people
Only a one night stop over but very nice room with comfortable bed and large bathroom including a nice big bath and a good shower.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice properly cooked breakfast from a good breakfast menu. Brighton is never cheap and on that basis this place probably does represent value for money.
Needs a face lift
The hotel was obviously really nice when last renovated, but it hasn't been kept up to date and feels tired and shabby, with carpets and walls both very worn and often damaged.
Also the standard of cleaning in the room, particularly in the bathroom, was not up to scratch at all.
Overall, just a lack of care and attention, and would not stay here again.
Charming hotel by the sea
Really nice little hotel.
Lovely comfy bed and an attractive room.
The food was really quite lovely and all the staff that we encountered were really nice and welcoming.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.
Rooms in need of a refresh, accessible power points near bed would be improvement
The staff were incredible, very polite, friendly and welcoming.
The rooms were lovely, and very homely. However, when booking, the pictures showed the bathroom to have a bath, which there wasn't; also the room was alot smaller than the photos showed and was not complete with half of what the photos showed.
Comfortable and relaxing stay
Staff were friendly, room was clean and comfortable.
Good location for town centre and seafront. Breakfast was excellent in choice and quality.
Pleasent little hotel by the sea
Lovely little hotel close to the sea and to the town centre, very helpful staff and excellent customer service when we got there, bags were taken to room while the directed me where to park
Really gorgeous looking hotel.
Friendly staff and great breakfast. Impressed with the overall experience.
Not quite the boutique hotel experience
The Neo was probably a lovely boutique hotel 5 years ago, however now it is quite tied looking & felt dirty in areas.
We arrived before our room was ready, so left our bag with reception. We made them aware we wouldn't be returning until after dinner & when we arrived back later that night, the reception was closed & our bag was locked inside rather than taken to our room. Not a great start…
Our room was fine, but again very tied looking. The mattress was lumpy & had a slope to it, which did not make for a good nights sleep. The breakfast was great, however the service slow & very peculiar. We sat at a table which guests had already been at that morning. When we asked for it to be cleaned & reset, the waiter suggested we sat at a clean table instead, which we did not want to do. While clearing it, she asked if we were happy to hang onto the same toast rack, which had 2 pieces of toast left in it from the previous guests & she could just 'top it up'?.
It is definitely not luxury & the photos do not give you a true representation of it. All in all, a real shame because it's a great location & could be lovely, but needs a bit of investment.
The building is beautiful and the staff were very accommodating; especially when I needed the feather duvet and pillows exchanging for polyester.
However the room was very tired, one of the blinds was broken, the soap dispenser was hanging off the wall, 2 of the spot lights in the bathroom needed replacing, water heavily dripped through a light fitting next to the bed in the morning and we had to keep moving furniture each time we wanted to plug chargers in as could only find one double plug socket where a room freshener and kettle was plugged in. Due to staffing issues our breakfast was an hour late but it was very nice when it arrived.
