Very poor state of room
Croissants and cheese in the breakfast description, no where to be seen.
Only cereals. Fry up was available and was OK. Damp patch in the corner of the room, iron burn mark on the carpet, blocked drain in the bath (with some dirty flow back out of it) and a very dusty TV.
Top top it all off, we returned to our room at 2200 to go to bed after a long day, to the sound of a VERY loud disco/function directly beneath our room. I might as well have slept on the dance floor. This continued for a good hour before it started to quite down.
Its safe to say, we won't be returning.
I was initially put in room one.
The carpet was very badly stained, layers of dust inside lamps, stained and grubby furniture, the springs in the bed poking through. The bathroom was so cold I couldn't wash in it. It's window didn't shut, stains on the floor tiles etc. I asked to be moved to another room. The chef whom I spoke to initially about it didn't offer an apology. The young girl who showed me other rooms from which I could choose which I wanted did apologise and was very helpful. I chose a room which overall was better however two of the blinds didn't work, there were cobwebs on the ceiling and the wallpaper was coming off. There were stains round the base of the toilet and the sink, the grouting between the tiles near the bath and sink was filthy, there was grime round the taps, a spider on the ceiling which remained there for the duration of the stay, the extractor fan was filthy. I could go on, but all in all certainly not the standard I was expecting. On the plus side the young staff at breakfast were excellent, friendly and helpful and the food was very good.
