Excellent value for money
Feels like it should be rated higher than 3 star.
We had the most amazing welcome from the staff.
Our room was so great, the bed was so comfy. The room was big and comfortable. The toilet was so clean and had everything we needed. I will definitely be booking this hotel again. The pool and amenities were fabulous. Even though we were abut away from the city centre it was perfect as it was quiet and relaxing and it was a short way into the city centre. They had leaflets with the weather and stuff for the weekend, amazing stay and would recommend it to anyone.
Most enjoyable stay.
Hotel very accommodating to our family party. Excellent swimming pool. Food very good
A Good Hotel for a Visit to Edinburgh with good car parking
Good Hotel with excellent bus service to city centre, with good off road parking facilities.
Break away !!
My first time to Edinburgh, The hotel was lovely, staff where really nice and helpful, Even let me leave my car on the last day after checking out to go and get some bits and pieces.
Loved it will defo be back for more than one day.
Nice hotel, not too far from central Edinburgh.
Staff were nice and friendly but seemed rushed off their feet at breakfast, took a while to be seated and kept running out of food, juice etc. Bed was nice and comfy. But expensive for how far out it was.
Room and reception staff very good.
Food very poor.
Wished it could have been a longer stay!
A return trip, and even nicer than the first stay.
Staff friendly and helpful, nice atmosphere, a good base, near the zoo, and excellent bus links to the city centre (we were down in Edinburgh for the university open day). My teenage daughter was delighted to be able to order chips through room service - which were delivered promptly, a good portion size, delicious and extremely good value for money. Too tight for time to make use of the leisure facilities but I know from last time the pool is lovely.
My husband & I stayed at the Capital Hotel for our wedding anniversary and found the reception staff to be welcoming, friendly & efficient.
The hotel is away from
The city centre but within accessible reach by bus/taxi etc. The lift in the hotel is quite slow but our room was easy enough to get to by stairs so that wasn't a big deal. We found our room to be a good size and very clean, the bed was comfortable and the view over the park in front of the hotel was nice for a city hotel. We used the pool facilities during our stay, particularly enjoying the sauna. All very nice. The leisure receptionist was particularly helpful lending us £1 coins for the lockers. All in all we were pleased with our stay at this hotel and would recommend it to others.
Excellent customer service; modern clean hotel on a good bus route to the city centre
We arrived after a 6 hour drive and whilst there was a queue at reception, the manager came and took us straight to the front and said he would get our room put on a priority to be made ready (we arrived earlier than check-in).
The manager also gave us an invaluable map and pointed out the best bus routes for us to take to and form the city centre. He also circled good places to go within the city. The room was very clean with a comfy bed - and option of different pillows. - and the curtains were black-out, allowing a good night's sleep. The staff were very helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome. My partner used the gym facilities and said they were good. Location of the hotel was good, a couple of miles outside of the centre meaning you could retreat to a quieter part of Edinburgh after a long day. It cost about £10 to get from the city train station to the hotel.
