Overnight stay

Delighted to find No.

11 - ideally situated for sightseeing & shopping in central Edinburgh. Room comfortable, staff friendly and very helpful. Delicious dinner in the Brasserie.

Toilet was in a cupboard... out of date menus...

Booked a four poster room and found that the toilet was in a separate cubicle that was like a cupboard - you could barely close the door on it...

We also had dinner there and spent ages looking at a menu that we later discovered (when we tried to order from it) was no longer valid for orders since it was for use during the festival and the up to date menus were not available...

Lovely hotel but:

Edinburgh was actually hot the day I visited.

Sadly the heating was stuck on and didn't get sorted and unlucky for me the Internet didn't work.

So a hot night and I didn't get to do any work.

That said a lovely hotel and would happily book again.

Great hotel

The hotel is a 10 min walk from Waverley station, so it's more or less in the centre of the city, the hotel itself was beautiful rooms were very clean and my room was georgoeus.

The staff couldn't do any more to help you and we're very pleasant I enjoyed staying here and would return again

Stylish and Central

The stylish hotel has got it right.

It was really central and easy to find and the night porter was friendly and welcoming when I arrived a bit late for my check in (11.45pm). I was pleased to see that I could check in to the hotel until 12pm. I had booked a single room and was on the top floor. I would say it would have been good to view a photo of the single room on the website as I had not been able to view it before booking it. It was an attractive, good sized room with a clean and contemporary en suite shower room. The bed was very comfortable and the curtains were good at keeping the light out.

In the morning, I had a warm welcome by the lovely Spanish waitress in the dining room and enjoyed a relaxed, tasty veggie breakfast (with good strong coffee) while listening to chilled tunes. The fresh flower on the table was a nice touch. The dining room was painted in a daring dark charcoal black which worked well with the furniture. This hotel is a little gem in Edinburgh and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish city break. The double bedrooms look gorgeous with their roll top baths. I will be back again to try that out.
