Fantastic, great, great, Rubbish, really ?!
Fantastic hotel, great location, great staff, but, while checking in was informed that I needed to provide a credit/debit card so that they could deduct £50 as a deposit, which would be returned at a later date, however, if I used a credit card my bank would charge me .
If that is hotel policy fine, but surely advance notification should be given . Finally, £10 for a gin & tonic, really ?!!
I had only stayed here for a night and upgraded to executive, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
They had catered to all of our needs.
Good hotel for London stay
We had the basic room and it was exactly as you would expect for the Hilton.
The bed was nice and large and comfortable to sleep in. Whilst we didn't expect much a view for London, we were pleasantly surprised to find we had a great view of The Shard from our room window. The staff on check in and out were very professional. The concierge was knowledgeable on the local area and was able to direct us well to our evenings destination.
We had dinner at Jamie's Italian attached to the hotel. The food was delicious and the service good.
Perfect except for service at breakfast
Just returned from a great weekend in London, Hilton Tower bridge was warm, welcoming, comfortable, quiet at night and we slept soundly.
The staff were fantastic and made my birthday stay special by leaving cake in the afternoon. We can't fault it. Then Sunday breakfast arrived, we were pleased to be able to eat in Jamie's restaurant and the food was superb, real Jamie Oliver touches and we thoroughly enjoyed it, however the service at breakfast was at best chaotic and at worst annoying. We were greeted and sat at a table for 2 that wasn't laid properly, cutlery was missing and there were no mugs, no explanation was given in relation to service and so we waited for hot drinks, they didn't arrive, so we went to help ourselves from the buffet, fried eggs were waited for and delivered in a still hot frying pan, we didn't attempt taking any and opted for scrambled. When we returned to our table we found someone else had been seated there. We still hadn't been asked for hot drinks and I had to get up to approach someone for tea. We enjoyed breakfast, the food was delicious but all around us, tables stacked up with dirty plates and were not cleared or remade for arriving guests, I asked for more tea and was poured hot water a dirty grey colour into my mug, I asked for a fresh cup and had to go and find someone for it as again it didn't arrive.
Guest were generally moaning and frustrated as no one seemed to know what they were doing and endless times cutlery, glasses and mugs were not replaced. Such a shame as the rest of our stay was faultless, and it only needed a supervisor to organise the very young and directionless staff.
Staying again I'd order room service for breakfast to avoid the dining room experience.
Room acceptable standard but over priced
Breakfast a disaster zone so disorganised sat at your table with no instruction from hostess
Manager of breakfast doing rather than managing staff
Had to go looking for sugar as not on table or spoon to stir tea
No personal touches
Situated close to London Bridge station, by the riiver Thames with fantastic views only a short walk away.
