Enroute overnight stay
I arrived at the hotel at 1930 and there was a queue of guests to check in.
Not a very welcoming greeting to a weary traveller as I mentioned to a manager who asked if everything was going well. He asked if I was an Honours Member and then I could check in at a separate desk. I was not a member so began searching on my phone for their App at which point the manager returned and said I could go straight to their special 'H' desk and I could be signed in to their program there, which I did. The concierge were very helpful and ensured I had my bags delivered within minutes of me getting to my room.
Very convenient for an early flight from gatwick south.

Very late arrival time, room excellent, lovely bathroom, comfy bed, just what was needed after a very long day
Booked Hilton because as a single lady I wanted to feel safe as I was landing late at night/early morning.
This is because of the walkway direct from airport terminal to hotel. Unfortunately halfway along walkway I was informed, admittedly by another passenger that I could not enter the hotel that way between the hours of midnight and 5 o'clock in the morning, and that I would have to use front entrance. I had no reason to disbelieve him, and this was further verified by two car park attendants when I asked. I had to walk in the dark, and the wet and also a dangerous road with no pavement to get to the front. Perhaps a sign at the entrance to walkway to notify me that an intercom system is in place. Further to this I was sent on a long chase to find my room, when a shorter and more direct route was available. By this time I was absolutely shattered, but unfortunately sleep evaded me, probably due to the hassle.
Breakfast was another adventure. I was shown to table, and that was it. I was not told that tea or coffee would be served by a member of staff, and not told to help myself to food. I asked 3 times fore a pot of tea, and had actually nearly finished my breakfast before it arrived. Room very dark.

Didn't realise the Executive room I'd booked had so many extras included - delighted with the facilities in the Executive Lounge (delicious breakfast, snacks/drinks throughout the day, media access etc).
Room itself very comfortable and excellent bathroom. The direct covered link from hotel to South Terminal is also very convenient.
Poor food. Too expensive

Toilet unclean, bowl stained, bathroom stale smell. I could hear other guests above me using the toilet. Food too expensive. Ordered duck, very small portion and not cooked as asked. Puy lentils need a sauce. Overall disappointing. Tired hotel

Free drinks and snacks in the evening, very good breakfast. Larger room.
Tired and dry
The room was tired and could benefit from the bathroom being updated.
Apart from the tea making facility there was no other drinks available in the room. I can accept that the mini bar should be empty as guests check out early morning BUT there should have been at least one complementary bottle of water.
Good for early flights but that's about all
The hotel is good for getting an early flight but the hotel itself is poor.
Staff not overly friendly, room was poor for the price and i expected more from the hilton brand. Water smelt eggy and i think something died in the fridge. The smell literally made me feel sick. If wanting to be close to airport id save money and stay slightly further from the terminal
Good hotel, extortionate food prices
Lovely clean room, nice and quiet, pretty good for £109, but my goodness the food is expensive.
Including a drink I would have paid £26 for a burger and two drinks had I not received fliers discount. Personally I think this is indefensible. You would pay about £100 to feed a family of 3. I'd stay in the hotel again but look elsewhere for food.
