On arrival we were met by a casually dressed chap sat smoking outside, he followed us in and said he would check us in.
He announced we had been upgraded due to plumbing issues. If our room was the upgraded room, than the original room would have been a massive disappointment. We were directed to what felt like the staff quarters. The room was clean, but with a mouldy shower and frayed carpets. Due to the sizeof the room, we had to move the coffee table to access the ensuite and had to move an armchair to access the wardrobe. The Bar appeared to be closed and their was no evidence of evening meals. The dining room had no curtains or carpet and the lounge was stacked with furniture so out of use. For the price we paid, we expected better
Chaos at breakfast
When booking in the young lady very pleasant but did not even know what time breakfast was available on Sundays.
Breakfast on Sunday morning- absolute chaos. The dining room had not been cleared from the night before. We were ignored for 30 minutes whilst waiting for breakfast. I assume this happened as there were no staff. No one on reception to ask or pay for room until 09-30. Where was everyone. This spoiled what could have been a pleasant stay.
