Shame it was such a short stay as I would have liked longer

I was only booked in for two nights so that myself and a few friends could tour the local area on our motorcycles so it was a real shame that we only were able to stay for the one night due to the forecast weather being so bad on the Sunday.

However, my singe room, although at the top of a maze of stairs, was excellent; very comfortable and warm, exactly what was needed after a long ride. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent with good choices; I had the large breakfast which was ideal for a long day out riding.

Mountaineering degree required for this hotel

For over 65's the climb to the top room with your case was very strenuous twisting tricky stairs which in hind-site you would expect in a hotel of that age.

The room we where in was badly lit and improvement is needed ,insufficient draws to accommodate your clothes and the shower was very not very good and poor space to maneuver the shower head was loose on the wall and unable to fix in any one position also difficult to maintain a constant temperature. As we where only staying for 2 nights we made do, but we will visit again as we enjoyed our stay.
