Very Good Stay

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff were very accommodating.

The only thing we had to complain about was the exhaust in the bathroom only worked on a timer and didn't actually go on when you had a shower and also the parking was non existent.

Great room no parking

Wetherspoon Hotels are a great surprise.

From the outside this place did not look much and there was a bit of difficulty getting into the room as there was no reception staff. Once in the room was great. Clean and freshly decorated in a very simple modern style. Very large bed and very fresh crisp sheets and pillows. Water as well as tea and coffee provided. Excellent value for money breakfast. It was noisy on a Friday night over a Wetherspoons, but that is to be expected.

Look No Further - You Won't Do Better!!!!

Excellent Value for Money.

Comfy well furnished rooms with everything needed. Good selection of food, again very good value. Central location with adjacent off site secure car parking (£2 per night) only a 2 minute walk away. In easy reach of the Motorway. Overall I would consider the Hotel to be equal, if not better, than other large hotels but at approximately half of the price. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

good for hikers without children

Staff were very good

As a food and drink establishment can not understand why we had to pay extra for breakfast

Not a lot in the area for children

Stay Again?

I would probably stay again, staff friendly, albeit one bar staff just simply didn't listen to anything people said to him.

Bed in room was very hard!

Beautiful room, not so nice area

Lovely room, was surprised by the quality of the room, even had air con which was very welcomed.

Area of Bridgend is not so welcoming however. We decided to just stay in the hotel and bar due to the area past 5pm. Although this is a lovely place to stay on route to somewhere and good value for money.

The Wyndham Arms Bridgend - Wetherspoons Hotel of Quality

Having stayed at Premier inns many times in the past few years when working away, going through Late rooms I picked up a bargain for around £46 per night for a double room of quality, twice the size bedroom, better fittings than Premier inns quality bathroom and again twice the size.

Food downstairs in pub always good and free pint etc with most meals, what more do you need, all I can say is this is rated at 3* but should be 4/5 *. Parking a little awkward but after 6pm you can park right outside in loading bays as long as you depart before 9am as to miss traffic wardens. Well recommended but book with late rooms.

Anniversary break

Having never been to Wales, we chose Bridgend as it seemed central and not too far from the coast.

The hotel was great, friendly staff, nice furnishings, excellent value.
