Excellent location with stunning views, comfortable, clean and although we didn't eat there as we were visiting relatives.
They eat there often and say it is excellent.
Enjoyed the visit and will probably return at a later date, was very impressed with the well oiled team serving in the restaurant
Great Stay again
Yet again - a perfect stay
Warm cosy pub
(Would really love breakfast tho)
Staff were very helpful, congratulate the chef, and the service because the food was so good and the Steaks amazing.
Busy pub so book your table early, you won't be disappointed.
Stayed here for the first time last week..amazing place.
A warm welcome by the staff and the room was gorgeous.. perfect for two people. The view also was amazing..could not fault their customer service neither. Great time. Would definitely stay here again .
Really picturesque setting.
Food amazing. Loved it
Noisy and rude barman
The room was beautiful, the views were lovely, the food was nice, but unfortunately, these positives did not counter balance the fact that the room was so noisy due to the bar downstairs, the two nights we were there were rather warm so required the window to be open.
But due to the noise from the bar revelers, we had to close the window, but because they were not double glazed it made no difference. Perhaps a fan in the room would help with the heat in there. Due to work commitments i asked the bar man if they had a spare room for an extra night, instead of a "no sorry we are fully booked up" he had me wait at the bar until he served all the people in there who had come in after me, then he wanted me to shout my request across a full bar because he couldn't be bothered to walk to the end of the bar to speak to me.......very rude old man. He then replied with "no we have no rooms". There is no option of breakfast either, as it is just a few rooms above a bar which is not open in the morning.
Lovely location but wouldn't stay there again
As these are rooms over a pub, you expect it to be noisy, but really this was unacceptably noisy, especially as often the noise was of the kitchen staff.
The rooms were very hot with no means of turning off the bathroom towel rail, so you needed the window open get get a bit of fresh air, but then the noise was excessive. Would be nicer to stay there in winter when overheating and noise outside the pub would be less of a problem, it has such a lovely location.
We both enjoyed our stay.
Our room was very nice and clean. The staff are very welcoming and provide a good customer service.
Best of all was the quality of food in the restaurant. Excellent. If you're staying here and want to eat in the restaurant make sure you book a table before arrival. The restaurant was full both the nights we stayed and after having two great meals we could see why.
We stayed Saturday night 13/8 we had two rooms both on the front overlooking the river, we had booked a table in the pub for tea, it was ok, but as I had stayed at the pub a couple of years ago.
I told the girls I was with that the food was great, so I felt o let them down as it was pretty average on this occasion, I would still stay at the pub though, as I think it's value for money.
