The King's Head Inn
As previously stated.
The bar area and lounge photos are what sold this place to us and is a good representation. The rooms featured however were clearly different from what the average customer gets. Ours was dated with damaged objects and a bathroom so small I almost had to stand in the shower for a wee. Chatting to other guests it seems this was the norm. We booked a double and received a twin and although pointed out to reception nothing was done about it. The poor chap running the reception was also in the bar and waiting on and seemed to flit forwards and backwards meaning we were waiting a while before check in. Not a big issue for us but I could see this being annoying for some. The breakfast was standard, I had eggs benedict and my partner eggs royal. It was good, I'm not sure a pot of hollandaise sauce out of the microwave is the way to go but still very edible. All in all a positive experience that could so easily have been an amazing one. But a relaxed evening by the fire, with the dog and some local ale made up for all the niggles.
