Set within the picturesque Wylye Valley, ancient Salisbury is just a 10-minute drive away. The Swan is conveniently located on the A36 and free parking is available opposite the property.
The Swan’s beautifully decorated rooms all boast colourful and modern individual furnishings with most with a tiled en suite and complimentary toiletries. The Swan at Stoford
Ideal location for visiting Stonehenge.
. Staff were very friendly. We stayed there for 2 nights and ate there on the first night. A quiet 28th December soon perhaps the chef had an evening off. I ordered prawn and avocado salad, probably the worst I'd ever been served. There were around 6 prawns and I had to ask for more avocado as it couldn't be found on the plate. They also forgot to bring out the chili dressing. Very overpriced for decidedly below average meal. My husband's pie wasn't so bad. Shower didn't work but we had a bath so not really a problem however we spoke to another couple who only had a shower in their room, and they reported it as too dangerous to use. The mattress was too thin for the bed as you could feel the slats underneath. They seriously need to invest in some decent pillows, these were probably the worse 2 nights sleep of our holidays. For these reasons I would never stay again. The staff were lovely.
