A last minute stay

I cannot recommend 'Buckle Yeat' too highly.

The visit to the Lake District was very last minute, however, all booking details were very easy.

The room was spotless. The food was super and Robert's quiet but efficient demeanor added to a great overnight stay. We used the time to complete a walk over the hill to Hawkshead which offered a variety of views and the round trip [with a coffee at Hawkshead] took probably about 3-4 hours. We chose to eat at the 'Tower Bank Arms', a nice pub with an extensive menu but would advise early booking [as you arrive] if you want to guarantee a meal. At this time of the year, there wasn't as much pressure, if you were using it in the summer I would guess it would be busier. A big thank you to Robert and all the staff at Buckle Yeat, I would certainly hope to visit again in the future.
