About the hotel

Indulgent. Luxurious. Different.

Castle House is one of Wales’ newest and most ambitious bed & breakfast locations. A commitment to quality, attention to detail, stunning décor and breathtaking views makes Castle House Bed & Breakfast perfect for the visitor with an eye for the unusual! Castle House is a substantial, Grade 2 listed former gentleman’s residence dating back to 1820 with magnificent views across the Clwyd Valley towards The Clwydian range of mountains, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Castle House offers three individually designed and magnificently appointed bedrooms, a romantic lounge and a graceful dining area which also offers scrumptious afternoon teas and specialty catering for meetings and small events, using local produce and supplies. In addition, available as annexe accommodation to the main house for B&B there are two self-contained Cottages set within Castle House’s extensive gardens, these are also available as self catering. The first, Leicester’s Cottage (2 double bedrooms) is actually part of historic Leicester’s Church built in 1587, whilst Gardener’s Cottage (2 double bedrooms) is located on the edge of nine acres of private ancient woodland which provides charm, comfort and secluded privacy with far-reaching magnificent views of the Clwydian range. Castle House facilities have been designed as much for the comfort of the discerning businessman, as for meeting the needs of families and individuals who come from throughout the UK, Europe and beyond to explore the stunning sites and attractions of North Wales and surrounding area. Castle House is surely one of the most uniquely historic bed & breakfast locations in the UK, featuring as part of its own garden a significant part of Denbigh’s ancient town walls, as well as the evocative ruins of a 16thCentury Cathedral built by Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester. Castle House, much more than Bed & Breakfast

Castle House B&B

Angie & Charles were perfect hosts.

We were treated as welcome guests in a large country-style home, as opposed to the feeling of staying in a B&B. We were given a free upgrade, and had a beautiful large (huge) room, well furnished, clean and had a plentiful supply of beverages and lovely biscuits (also jugs of fresh milk, which was great as I hate the little pots of milk you get in most places). Castle House is beautifully furnished with fantastic views, up on the hill near the castle you feel like you are in the country but it is in the town of Denbeigh with all the amenities of a town - plenty of history and interesting architecture. There are also arrangements with a lovely spa & restaurant a couple of miles away, which Angie & Charles helped us out with. Visit to the castle is a must.. Also roads around it are great if you want to get out and explore - would recommend the run out to Anglesey and Conwy, Llandudno is lovely too but I'd give Rhyl a wide berth!

a Magical Experience

This is the best B&B I have ever stayed at.

Luxurious and Beautiful, I cannot recommend Castle House enough. Spotlessly clean and deliciously quiet in surroundings steeped in history. Denbigh Castle a one minute walk away. the views are breathtaking. The hosts and owners of this beautiful home made me feel at home immediately and looked after me extremely well. I did not want to leave.
