Simple and mostly friendly
Seen from outside, the Castle is looking perfect.
Inside it looks as a normaly Hotel. Most of the Ambiente are not typical for a Castle. The Rooms we have are well large with comfortable beds, but we have no hooks for the towels for example. The Lift does'nt work, so it can be problematic for elderly People with their luggage. The food was common and for the price ok. Stuff is sometimes too busy, but friendly.
In response to your comments here goes...
How many 'normal' hotels have exposed stone work, swords, shields, stripped wooden floors, Victorian style furniture not many i would say.
All of the rooms have hooks on the doors for towels as well as towel rails and there wardrobes have plenty of room for clothes etc.
The lift does work and has a sign to let guests know that it is many used for guests with reduced mobility and luggage so your comment that it doesn't work is irrelevant and untrue!
And as for the food comment of 'common' really........And yes we are busy but have plenty of staff working so you may have to had to wait a few minutes to be served....
