This hotel room was freezing cold.

Having asked for an extra duvet . We was provided with a single one for a Kingsize bed. Had to go back to reception to get one that fitted.

The bathroom was a bit grubby and the hot water was not very hot.

Dispite putting the small inadequate heater on it remained chilly and uncomfortable.

Also it was most inconvenient to have to go to reception and get sumone to come outside to open the door to get back into the room.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.

The only bad point I found were the fire doors in the corridor slammed shut and kept waking us up.

Would have been nice to have an iron in the room and telephone and more side of the bed storage .

Not enough space at the side of the bed to hold an alarm clock or even a phone.

Tea & coffee making facilities be nice to be presented on a tray rather than plonked on the dressing table. Shower head could do with being mobile rather than fixed.

Short Break

The carpet hadn't been hoovered and there was fluff on the floor and under the bed apart from that all was OK.

It was okay

Confusion on arrival but that was due to me misunderstanding the booking form, this was sorted quickly.

The carpet and floor on the first floor was very uneven caught us both out several times. The lift was not working and staff did offer to carry the luggage to the first floor. Thank goodness we were on the first floor. Confusion and some embarrassment at breakfast as we had booked and paid for breakfast on arrival the evening of arrival. The managers booking sheet did not appear to have our booking recorded so after being made to feel quite awkward in front of other guests the main bookings on the computer were checked and payment was confirmed this defiantly was not a confidential conversation. Busy hotel and noisy throughout the night and day. We booked for convenience before visiting family. The room was clean although a bit tatty would go to elsewhere if staying in this area again.
