They clearly enjoy running this business. The accommodation is really nice, very clean and confortable in a beatiful location. We really enjoyed out time there and would recommend other travellers to stay at Garadh Buidhe and meet Jane and Michel.
They were very attentive and welcoming. The accommodation was fab in beautiful surroundings. Make sure you bring a map as the SatNav leads you to the wrong address. Would love to go back again!
Very comfortable accommodation in beatiful loction
High quality bed and breakfast accommodation set in a fantastic location a few miles outside Fort William.
We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, excellent views and wildlife. We had the Caledonian room which was well equipped and finished making our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Jane and Michael were excellent hosts, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. Many thanks - we would love to come and stay again!
We booked our holiday for just me and my fiance but circumstances ment we had to bring our 3 year old son...I phoned them and they where very pleasant and understanding and charged us no extra and provided a blow up bed for our son...during our stay we where made to feel at home and like part of the family by the end of the visit our son Talon was in a lovely routine and called them Aunty and Uncle...very clean rooms and very helpful...we intend to be back up there very soon.
Lovely place but...
We loved the location but felt we were intruding in their home, it was clear that is was coming to the end of the the season and they were tired.
We got a room without an ensuite and shared with another couple who were quick off the mark to get in mess it up, also the bath was not usable which was very disappointing. We also had to pay cash, I never carry £150 cash on me and always pay by card for my accommodation, I genuinely felt I was hounded for the money after declaring this. The conversation around the breakfast table felt a little intrusive rather than inquisitive. Overall we were not happy with our time here and won't stay again.

We are very surprised by your negative comments in your review, posted three months after you stayed with us. When you left in September, you wrote in our guest book very different words ‘lovely and friendly …. and we will come back, cheers’.
Regarding the room it quite clearly states in all of our advertising that this particular room has a shared shower room with just one other guest room. It is in the main heading of the description of the room and cannot possibly be mistaken for an en suite room. Unfortunately many advertising websites list the cheaper rooms first, in order to attract clients, but most travellers realise this and take care to scroll down to the more expensive en suite rooms. We would much prefer to advertise our excellent en suite rooms first in the list but this is beyond our control.
The shower is in the bath in the shared shower room and the bath is not used as we have found in the past that some guests take all of the hot water filling the bath, without thought for other guests who may also want to shower at the same time. Our geo-thermal heating works perfectly with just showers and this is why we do not offer or advertise a bath in any of our rooms. To say that the other guests messed up the shower room is just not true. The shower rooms are all cleaned daily, sometimes twice in the case of the shared shower room, and there has never been a ‘mess’ anywhere.
Regarding payment, your reservation was through late rooms on a PAY ON ARRIVAL basis. You were informed by us by email prior to your arrival that we would be unable to process credit cards on site and that payment should therefore be made in cash. It is not unreasonable to expect payment on arrival, but we were quite happy to wait until you were able to get the cash point as you had not read our email beforehand. Most of the other websites offer credit card payments but this, of course, would involve paying when booking our accommodation.
In conclusion, our main aim is to share our love of Scotland with our guests and we feel that we often go that extra mile to make sure that everything is perfect during their stay. Thankfully most of our guests appreciate this, including the light hearted banter around the breakfast table.
