We weren't in the actual hotel we were in the Queens lodge and had to walk up 6 flights of stairs everyday to get to our room.
The shower didn't work properly either. Very basic but did us for somewhere just to sleep in. I don't think the hotel is suitable for a young couple.
Queens Lodge not Queens Hotel
When you book it says queens hotel, but we were given queens lodge instead.
No lift to third floor, so had to carry luggage myself all the way up and down. The lodge itself is a separate premise down the road.
Absolutely the worst hotel experience !!
Great position and excellent value
Only one night stay but we were given a good size room with sea view.
Breakfast was individually cooked and served at the table (no stale buffet)
Only down side was mattress old and needed replacing.
The Queens Hotel, Llandudno
This hotel is so dated, it is like something out of the 1970's.
The rooms are clean but terrible decor which is years old. We had a twin room which had two, very hard single beds in which were very uncomfortable. The bathroom sink is in the bedroom which is not unusual but the bathroom is also tiny and the shower comes out in a trickle. When you put the light on in the bathroom, the extractor fan is so loud, we daren't put it on at night. Also, the breakfast is only from 8.15 to 9.15 which isn't very long (most hotels have at least 2 hours for breakfast). We got in quite late and had not slept very well due to the uncomfortable beds so were still in bed. Someone knocked on the door at 9am (presumably house-keeping) and walked straight in without giving us as chance to answer the door. I wouldn't book this hotel again and don't know how it is rated a 3 star.
Exceedingly good perfect location
My son and I stayed hotel lovely staff very helpful very clean perfect in every way would stay again and highly recommend thank you.
We enjoyed are stay at the Queens hotel.
Hotel annex..with 57 stairs to climb to our room. No lift !!
Enjoyed our stay in the Queens hotel.
Only thing was we were in the 'annex' building and, our room was at the VERY TOP of the house. 57 stairs to climb every single time. No lift !. It was very clean, very quiet and we did love our room. We found out some of the Hotel's around there, had had about of Norovirus. So that was alarming,so we actually never eat in our actual Hotel. We had a, lovely time though and hotel and annex in a great spot, close to all amenities.
Well worth the money
We were unable to at the Queens Hotel, it was fully booked for our dates.
We did stay at the Queens Lodge, although not as nice,it was clean and you use facilities at the hotel. We had our little dog with us and they were great. Not suprisingly dogs are not allowed in the resturaunt, but she was able to come with us and we dined in the lounge bar very comfortabley. It wouldn't be nice to leave her in the room and they do appreciate that. All in all wewould use again if in Llandudno.
We all had a great time.
