During the booking process I was asked for any particular preferences.
I stipulated a quiet room, as the hotel is situated adjacent to the A1 road. I repeated this on checking in and was told that I had been allocated a quiet room. The room was actually directly overlooking the A1. We had to return to reception where another room was allocated. After two more attempts we were given a choice of rooms at the rear of the hotel. This was Christmas Eve and the hotel was very quiet and there was absolutely no excuse for this deplorable and careless conduct, which wasted about 30 minutes after a very long drive.
A very pleasant stay
This was the first time I had stayed at this hotel, although I had been there many times to meet people.
It was excellent, very smart and the staff were very pleasant.

Excellent, I would recommend to every one.it was not 10 out of 10 experience, it was 15 out of 10.room, services, staff every thing just perfect.
The room was as shows in the photograph which was pleasing.
The staff on receiption was pleasant and helpful save for when we tried to obtain some guidance on where to eat and the reply was that there are a number of eateries on the high strret. Not knowing were the high street was - this was of no help. The drawer, where the television sat was dusty and there was a small hole in the carpet. Other than this the room was in very good and clean condition. We did not eat at thr restaurant and neither did we experince the leisure facilities; thr latter being a shame as the pool looked lovely. The only reservation I would have about returing is the entrance to the hotel, which I deem dangerous located just off a roundabout. All in all a pleasant stay and would return.

Lovely hotel and staff
Stayed here as a good starting point for London visit.
Staff very helpful, room had everything we needed and was quiet and comfortable.
Top marks and value for money
I don't know what more you could want for your money, there was a slight booking issue with the wrong room type on file, instantly dealt with.
After that it was plain sailing. Great room and utilities, the breakfast was one of the best I've had in a hotel and all staff were friendly professional and sociable.
