The hotel was easy to find and parking was good.
The manager was very helpful and welcoming. The room was a bit basic, but would be ideal if you were staying over to see a football or cricket match as the grounds are very close.
Clean, modern room.
Cannot fault the room. It was clean and very modern with a lovely en-suite bathroom. I personally didn't like the shared kitchen bit. This accommodation would suit male individuals or groups. Not ideal for females staying alone!!
everything is basic except the price
I was in Nottingham for one night visiting my son River Rooms feels like cheap hostel accomodation .
I was given a room in the basement with no window [so no means of escape in case of fire] no natural light . The carpet was filthy . No tea and coffee making facilities, there is a kitchen for the use of guests which is up a flight of stairs and along a corridor. I paid £70 to stay there for one night so definitely didnt get value for money.
On the up side the manager was very friendly the bed was comfortable ..after I had removed the waterproof mattress cover, shower was very good and I did sleep well there ..after the group of screaming teenagers in the room next door had gone out at 11.30
Great value for money and excellent service.
I stayed at the River Rooms for one night in a twin room by myself.
When I arrived I mentioned that I was going to a wedding reception later in the evening and I was offered a taxi without even asking. Really professional and courteous service. Also, I am quite tall so I find sleeping in a single bed difficult the majority of the time, but the bed I slept in was really comfortable and I had a decent night's sleep for a change. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
Lovely, homely atmosphere, great room, lots of space. Highly recommended.
This is a lovely hotel and I would definitely stay here again, without a doubt.
On arrival, the owner was lovely, extremely friendly and welcoming. Straight away we could tell that the place was a 'make yourself at home' kind of a place.
Our room was enormous. We had booked a double with en suite, but what we got was actually a huge bay windowed suite, with sufficient sleeping space for 4 adults, and it was actually two rooms in one plus en suite with shower. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.
The beds were extremely comfortable - proper beds, not the kind you find fixed to a hard board surround which you find in other hotels, but a real double bed which filled the bay window area of the room. The mattresses were memory foam and provided an excellent night's sleep. There were no drink making facilities in the room, but this didn't matter as all guests have access to a very good and well equipped kitchen, which means the rooms are actually self catering units - very impressive. The location is ideal for anyone looking for easy access to the cricket ground, football, water sports centre or city and the free on site parking is a real bonus. The only down side to our stay was the noise from people out on the street at night time, but this wasn't too excessive considering it is a city and there is not much there hotel can do about it.
All in all a lovely stay and I look forward to staying here again in the future. Highly recommended.
Our room had recently been refurnished.
It was spotlessly clean and very quiet. The River Rooms is located within a short walking distance of the buzzing nightlife of West Bridgford. It was just ideal for us.
