The accommodation was really good.

Lots of space in a clean environment and plenty of staff on hand to ask if you needed anything. Free refreshments was an added bonus with wi-fi and definately recommend to anyone looking for a bed overnight

Super accommodation, I'll be staying again

Palmers Lodge more than made up for previous negative experiences of hostels.

Loved the building, had a very relaxed, comfortable feel to it. I stayed in a mixed dorm for 18 and there was plenty of space, bunk was comfortable and no issues with noise from others. Bathroom was immaculately clean and I didn't have to wait to use. I was happy to see a mixed age range and everyone I met was very friendly. I was persuaded to have the all you can eat buffet breakfast, continental style and it lived up to its description with warm crisp croissants and toast, cereal, fruit etc. Staff very helpful and I'll certainly stay again.

Best hostel I've ever encountered and I've been in a lot!

What a charming, calm, friendly, clean and lovely period hostel.

Full of charm from the wood and panels to lovely comfortable beds that were a delight to get into. Great clean fresh duvet, great idea of curtains around the bed. I really recommend this hostel. It seems to have families, all ages and a huge aray of nationalities. Staff were really friendly, it just felt so lovely. I didn't get to see the bar or taste the food but I loved that there was free tea on offer !

Travelling Alone

This was a good, low-cost way to spend a night in London while I was there for a couple of days on business.

The building makes an interesting environment - a cross between a stately home and old boarding school. It was warm, quite comfortable and relatively quiet considering how many people were staying there. Don't forget your own towel, padlock for the lockers and a universal plug for the sink if you want one. Would definitely use it again.

Great for a quick stay

As Hostels go, it's great.

As London goes, it doesn't get cheaper. Minutes to the tube and parking for just £5 outside the congestion zone.
