Great place for a getaway
Great place for an over night stay.
We stayed here for one night as we were going to an event locally. We chose this hotel over others on laterooms because of the Hilton brand and the extra facilities - gym and pool. Although an airport hotel it was quiet. No aircraft noise at all. Never been disappointed by Hilton. The staff at this hotel are friendly and helpful. The only down side was £8 to park the car which the hotel did waive for use when we mentioned we have never had to pay for parking at a Hilton before, even in London.
Horrendous food and dated rooms.
We stayed over night for an early flight to the Monaco GP hoping to get a good nights sleep for a 6am take off.
Oh dear our first mistake was to book this hotel. The exterior and reception areas are quite nice but as you get into the room it is obvious this Hilton needs a refurb. The rooms are stuck in the 90s, pleasant and clean but not modern, the mattress was terrible noisy and lumpy, the bathroom had a curtain rather than a modern screen and the TV although flat was a fuzz making it impossible to watch anything. All I can say about the room service food is that the chef was clearly not present and the microwave was being fully utilized even for chips. We send back 3 meals that were completely disgusting. A salad with 3 leaves and hard poached egg, fish and chips that were clearly reheated from the night before and a spaghetti bolognese that had more gristle than my 75yr old mum. With no food, a terrible mattress, noise from upstairs bathroom that sounded like the soil pipe ran past my head sleep was not on the menu. It seems to me that the Hilton is trading at this location on its name and not on quality service as so any of its hotels do. Its a shame as the location is excellent. Come on Hilton get your act together.
Hilton London Stansted Airport Hotel
Served my purpose.
Ideal stopover between flights.
No hot water!
Booked the Hilton through Late Rooms as we were attending a wedding nearby.
In the morning there was no hot water so I continually called reception but no one picked up my calls for 2 hours.
When checking out I explained this to the reception staff and was told in a blunt and rude way that the reception phone had not rung. I said to him why would I lie. The response I got back was "don't call me a liar" .... FANTASTIC customer service!!. Will never book the Hilton again.
Gateway to our London weekend
Arrived early hours after a very long day of travel.
First impressions were great, loved the decor, trendy and very comfortable. Room was good. Enjoyed breakfast, plenty of choice. Staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent stay.

Let down by technology, poor customer service, would not recommend
Arrived at the hotel and could not check in due to a server error, waiting at reception for 20 minutes and was told the cleaner would meet me at the room and let me in.
Arrived at my room and the cleaner did indeed let me in. However reception staff said once the systems were back up and running they would bring me a key. No key ever arrived so if I left the room I would have been unable to get back in. Once in the room I decided to order room service. I tried ringing solid for about 15 minutes and had no answer. waiting another 20 minutes and tried again, still no answer after about 5 minutes of ringing. On the final attempt I managed to get through and order some food. Once the food was ordered it was brought within 30 minutes which wasn't too bad, however for the price of the food I would say the quality was poor.
I managed to book the rooms at sale price so i would gladly say that my stay was great value for money
On one of the coldest days of the year no heating in bedroom and all public areas.
Hotel provided convector heater for room and in restaurant. Told by a member of staff that the lack of heating was the norm hence the availability of convector heaters. Would not stay again.
