Very nice hotel the staff were very friendly.
Dont go into room 202
I had booked a double room to find we had been upgraded .
We were put in room 202. Room was pleasant enough, bathroom could have been cleaner. However the room was less than ideal to sleep in. All night people walked passed the room to get to upstairs rooms and there was a constant banging of a door. Underneath the room was the entrance to the car park and the reception. The reception area was tile floor and all you could hear was staff walking up and down and again doors banging. When the kitchen area put the fans on the wall by the bed vibrated. After eventually falling asleep I was woken up at around 6am with the same constant foot steps and banging door. Not a pleasant stay and when I informed reception she just brushed it off saying she would make a note of it.
Cairns is a modern, clean and well situated hotel, plenty bars nearby.
The rooms were nicely decorated, comfy bed great size shower in the bathroom, fridge, tea and coffee hamper, hairdryer and TV. I would definitely visit again.
Pleasant and relaxing
I was meeting friends, so wasn't looking for anything special, however I was very impressed with the standard of room and the friendly welcome.
The breakfast was continental, which was very good, as I was a booze weekend a fry up would have been better, but there are plenty of cafes in the area to cover that. All in all I had a great weekend and will be staying there again in the near future.
A one night stop.
We will stay longer next time to make use of the very nice restaurant as well as the Bar which are both accessed from the reception area.
Booked this two hours in advanced so I thought it was very reasonably priced for leaving it last minute.
Room for Gorgeous as well as the rest of the hotel. Can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't get up in time for breakfast. Haha but lovely place in the heart of Osborne street.
The room was excellent and the bathroom was a very high standard but there were no instructions on how to use the TV which took some time to figure out.
