Jurys Inn Aberdeen
Breakfast food was cold.
Booked as a very last minute night away to save having to drive home after the cinema and give us an early start shopping in the morning.
Upon arrival very loud music was playing in the reception area, making it very difficult to hear what the receptionist was saying as we tried to check in. We were told that we had booked a standard room but unfortunately there were no standard rooms left, this meant we were given an accessible room. Initially I wasn't phased, then we got into the room… Being an accessible room it was bigger than usual, which meant the bed was miles away from the tiny TV. The bathroom itself was clean as you'd expect but had an overpowering clinical smell. Some features meant that the room was actually less comfortable for able bodied guests; the bed was very small and too low, the bathroom sink was also too low and the toilet too high. As you do in the morning my partner went for a shower where he discovered that the shower head was broken, to such an extent that it just fell down to point towards the wall. This made it almost impossible to have a shower. Eventually having both managed to get a shower we went to check out where we mentioned the shower head being broken, this was not dealt with as I'd imagined. The member of staff at reception simply wrote the fault down on a piece of paper and went 'ok thats you checked out', this was almost the most disappointing part of the stay. Not even a hint of an apology. If you're looking for a typically bog standard, run down, vastly overpriced hotel then this is the place for you. However, if you prefer to be comfortable on a hotel stay then I would suggest you steer clear of this place and spend your money somewhere that actually puts some effort into making your stay enjoyable. I most definitely will not be returning.
Will be back again
Brilliant place to stay ,it's so central to everything, shops, train station and plenty eating places
1st time staying.
We normally stay at Hilton Garden Inn when in Aberdeen but last time we didn't have a great experience so thought time for a change and how glad are we.
The moment we arrived staff were friendly and check in was easy. Had a slight glitch with sky box once in room and mentioned it to desk not 10minutes and this issue was resolved by the manager and a staff member absolutely fantastic. Room was lovely and spacious with a good view. Breakfast was buffet style and all hot food was hot not just warm and a great selection of pastries etc. All staff in the hotel were great and friendly didn't just feel like a stranger. Already looking forward to returning here and highly recommended as I couldn't fault the place or the price for room.
jury in one night stay
the room appear unfinished in the bathroom, and one of the plugs were squint and this was rather annoying due to paying over £100 for one night, I felt that it was not worth the money, however staff were lovely and the rest of the hotel experience was fantastic
Location is great being within the Union Square Shopping Centre, brilliant access to a whole floor of eateries and the food from the hotel bar is also very good.
Room is a good size and a really comfortable bed.
Jurys Inn Aberdeen
Hotel was very nice, enjoyed our stay but the hotel really could try and do something about the parking charges even if they could agree to a discounted rate for people staying at the hotel.
Jury's Inn Aberdeen
Quite happy to have stayed here for one night.
Cost of car parking at £16 for 24 hours not good.
