We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in June.
We had a twin room which was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful when we needed anything. We visited for woolfest and booked the same room for 3 nights next year again.
New Year Break
Lovely English hotel, friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms.
Allerdale Court Hotel
We were two sisters travelling from different parts of the U.K.
ie Manchester and Newby
Ours was a sad mission as we had come to attend our sister's funeral. We found the accommodation friendly and helpful.
I am so sorry to say as the service of this hotel was very good but, the room was very poor quality.
I booked this room based on the information and photos provided on Late Rooms and as a result, will not use Late Rooms again. The room we were given was nothing like what was expected for the £100 paid. We were awake early at 6am as the light was coming through the windows due to the thin cheap blind which was used. There was a four poster bed which had old curtain rings on it which were obviously not used. Plastic cups to drink out of in the bathroom and no glasses. Only a shower and no bath which surprised me due to the cost. The toilet wobbled when you sat on it. The floor slanted and the No Smoking sign in the main room was a bit old fashioned and it had a feel of a very seedy old hotel room. I could also hear the guests clearly in the other room when stood in the shower room. It was in need of some serious decorating. As stated I am so sorry to even place this review but when spending £100 on a room it was expected that it would be modern as the pictures portray and it was anything but. We have previously stayed in a Travelodge and expected this hotel to be a lot better but as a result of this, will go back to Travelodge because even though £40 cheaper, the quality was a lot higher.
Sorry again as there were some lovely aspects to this hotel but unfortunately the room was only worth about £50 and even then, I would have been disappointed. It is probably a one off room but in my opinion one that should be closed and not used. Please note this is the first time ever I have felt the need to leave a review as respect anyone who is trying to earn a living but as a hotel owner, you should probably invest in the room I am talking about as it will be clear which one it is. When leaving I was not even asked if the room was ok and I believe this will have been because they are probably embarassed by it.
