Such a great stay, staff are friendly and helpful.
Room very good apart from a used bar of soap in the shower tray. Beds were very high for little Ines and they didn't have bed guards but they were large enough for the kids to roll around without falling off. All round a fabulous family friendly hotel. Will definitely book again
1 night bed and breakfast - no so much the breakfast
Stayed here for 1 night in order to take children to Hyde park.
Location is very good, hotel appearance is very good, staff were good. Breakfast was a poor effort and not what you would expect from the Hilton group. When we arrived I was informed breakfast would be in the lobby restaurant. On our way to the lobby the following morning there was a sign indicating that breakfast was being served on the 3rd floor. Upon arriving at the 3rd floor and joining a very long queue (stretching back to the elevators and along the wall, I asked if the downstairs restaurant was closed. I was blatantly lied to with the answer "Yes" so we waited.... there were a significant number of tables empty and a number of fello guests asked why, the answer was that they are being prepared for use. When we eventually seated there were more tables being prepared than actually in use. My conclusion is that the Restuarant was short staffed, further evidence of this was that the restaurant ran out of dinner plates and were distributing side plates for full English breakfast meals (the cynic in me would suggest a stealth way of portion control) once again this indicates staff shortages. I was told that on this particular day, everybody had arrived for breakfast late, as it was a Sunday morning and the hotel has been there a long time I find it hard to believe the pattern was unusual and not predictable.
Hilton London Metropole
From the moment we walked through the doors it was the best customer service we have ever received, everyone was so friendly and there to attend to our every need.
Will highly recommend and and return for another stay soon!
Customer service cannot be faulted
Our first impression of the hotel was made by the friendly guy from Moscow at the front desk.
Not only did he upgrade us to a deluxe room room free of charge, he also gavw us a complimentary late checkout when he heard our trains weren't til later in the say. He was very knowledgeable about the local area and was able to recommend places for us to eat. The room itself was clean, large and very comfortable, and very quiet. We didn't try the restaurant or bar, but it looked pretty packed every time we walked past it, so it must have been good.
Good all round hotel
Enjoyed the stay.
Staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Family break for the England match
Hotel was great from start to finish.
Best room ive stayed in whilst in London (huge). Front desk lady upgraded us to breakfast included because the room wasn't ready 2 hrs before we could officially check in,great gesture. Room service was prompt and delicious. Would stay again, good location right next to the tube.
Hilton London Metropole
Made to feel
We stayed for the one night in a superior queen bedroom.
Plenty of room for the four of us but the bath was very small. We had poor television reception when we wanted to watch tv at night and the shower the next morning was stone cold. When checking out we gave our comments to the receptionist and she was very apologetic and gave us a complimentary lunch in the bar. A lovely hotel despite the inconviencies.
Great value for a weekend stay, excellent location
Very large and busy hotel, there was a conference running over the weekend.
Despite this check-in was prompt with excellent friendly service. Room was a bit on the small side, but in line with London hotels. Bathroom was looking a little tired but high quality shower. Complementary water and cookies were a nice touch. Location was perfect for our needs, close to Paddington and two tube lines across the road. A quick tube ride to the West end or a leisurely 30 minute walk. Excellent value for a weekend break.
Nice weekend city break
Excellent location, very close to Oxford street of you are shop alcoholic.
Nice collection of cafe and restaurants nearby serving mainly Mediterranean and morrocan food.
