NOvotel. Poor value. Style(almost) over substance.
For £175+ per night I expected much much more.
Room very basic and tired. Fairly noisy as the room was very near to the many train lines that run into Paddington. Also would benefit from proper cleaning. The air con either didn't work or it was inefficient. The room was very warm. The cot that we asked for was supplied, but was a rickety old contraption that needed condemning. Dirty and sharp edges where the plastic corners had broken. On the second morning of our stay , the hot water was tepid even at the hottest setting. The breakfast area is far too small for the size of the hotel, therfore you end up constantly queuing and waiting. When I did raise these issues I was informed that my comments would be 'passed on'. I have the impression that phrase has been rolled out a few times. I doubt this hotel gets much repeat business, certainly won't from me.
Novotel London Paddington
All round fantastic hotel and very much recommend it. Room was spacious and good- sized fold out sofa bed for our 16 year old. Great hotel facilities with pool, computers and kids games/entertainment etc. Location was great with access to the rear of Paddington station easily walkable in 5 mins by the canal. Rest of area still being developed so some good amenities nearby (bars/restaurants/shops). Only slight issue we felt was the breakfast service was a little slow. Whether it was a one off that weekend or not but took a while to be seated and service of coffee/tea etc took a while and replacing buffet food. Maybe make tea/coffee self service so staff can focus on replenishing the food etc. Like I say this wasn't a major issue and the food was excellent when it came out.
Excellent child friendly hotel
Super family friendly facilities.
Clean, well maintained and helpful staff. Genuinely impressed (and I regularly travel and stay in hotels with work). Great pool, we were the only ones in it. Super breakfast loved the pancake machine. Plus great interactive games table in the bar and Xbox etc. Windows kept put all external noise. Super toilet separate from the main bathroom. Great stuff. Only down side was the surrounding building work, but that's only temporary.
Reasonable costs for London city centre
Overall the hotel offered a good experience at a reasonable cost for a city centre location.
The hotel and rooms were very clean, except for the toilet vent, which was covered in dust. This sort of thing doesn't bother me but it might for some guests.
The pool was excellent, along with the sauna and steam room.
The breakfast in the morning offered a great selection of food. Nice hotel, good location, friendly staff.
MR A RODGERS
Excellent hotel very very good
Clean and modern
Clean, modern and well equipped within walking distance to the station
Excellent hotel conveniently located
Very clean and new hotel, very well equipped.
Lovely pool and gym. Buffet breakfast was varied and good quality. We had a family room on the top floor which was very spacious and well appointed. Conveniently located close to Paddington Station which means you are well connected to anywhere in central London. Walk along the canal in the other direction and you're at the beautiful Little Venice with a highly recommended canal boat trip from there up to Camden Lock. Would definitely stay again.
Clean and comfortable with a contemporary interior.
Lovely break in london
Really nice hotel situated close to Paddington station.
Staff very friendly on arrival and helpful. Rooms are a decent size even with the sofa bed out for our 6 yr old daughter. Breakfast was good with lots of choice, even a pancake machine for fresh pancakes. Nice and clean everywhere with excellent facilities, although the pool was a little cooler than I expected.
