Disappointed

Myself and my wife have stayed in various accommodation and this has to have been one of the most disappointing.

There were no bedside tables, only a bed to sit on and the TV did not work. The room was very small and the bed right against the wall. A lot of thick dust on the back of the lights and on the skirting board. The toilet seat moved when seated. When driving in the lighting on the entrance was very poor and we carried all our luggage up to reception only to be told our room was back were we had parked. Staff were pleasant enough but would not recommend room.

Highfield Park

When I arrived it was dark and my room was in the annex next to the hotel.

The walk was very dark, I think the hotel should consider asking guests if they would like to be accompanied to this part of the hotel so that guests do not have to be on their own. I found it more than a little unnerving.

A very very nice hotel.

Great location. Lovely views. Could not fault this residence at all. Will definately go back.

My only criticism was I had to ask where the bar was and wasn't told about the restaurant or breakfast charge.

Night away on business

My room was like a prison cell for someone under 5ft, dark, small bed pushed up against the wall.

Not very comfortable.

Nice but worn

The hotel is decorated nicely and is at an acceptable standard.

However due to the hotel being an old building the Windows had condensation on them as they were single glazed, and some of the furniture is tired and worn. The rooms aren't very spacious either, which is okay if you are only there to sleep but it did feel fairly clostropobic with two people in the room.

very basic for just over £100,

Accommodation is not always in the same building. You need to make sure you drive to the reception which has a limited parking area. You have additional parking however, this could result in walking around with all your bags.

Also, poor lighting in the car parks away from the main building.
