Crossways Guest House York
The position of the hotel was ideal, just 10-15 minute walk from the centre.
It was well decorated and staff were helpful, and it was very quiet at night. However, our room was terribly cramped. I am only 5' 4", but found the bed too short. I was also unimpressed to have to pay £5 a night parking, which I didn't realise was just on the street. This meant that it wasn't quite such good value in comparison to other hotels. It was adequate, but I wouldn't go back.
Had a lovely 3 day stay at crossways guest house, we had the cosy twin room, everything you could need for a place to relax after roaming around York.
The beds were very comfortable, the large towels were lovely and fluffy , the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and was a good set up for lots of walking. Emma, the owner, and her 2 ladies ,were very friendly and helpful and the housekeeping was excellent. Will be going back again, hopefully soon.
