Handy place to stay

It was easy to find and the staff were pleasant and very helpful.

The room was well laid out and appointed. However, the pillows were well past their expiry date. The bathroom was very tired. The bath was so thin it wobbled when you stood on it to have a shower. The toilet was very strange; it had been painted and where the water was it was dark green. Odd. Nice to have a heated towel rail. There was no blind at the window as it had broken and, consequently, the outside light shone through the gap under the door all night and blinded you when you went into the bathroom. The room was very quiet despite being near a busy road. Would definitely stay here again if we needed to be in the area again.

Pretty Basic

For the price of a room it seemed very reasonable.

The accommodation is separate to the pub (A Hungry Horse). The bath and basin were losing the enamel but the main bedroom was clean and tidy. I would not recommend this site for a weekend break but ideal if you wanted to have somewhere to put your head down. Ideal for stopover for family wedding, watching a match in Leicester (bit out of the way from built-up area)
