Dark and Dirty

My partner's uncle recently passed away and left us some money so part of what we spent it on was a trip to Bristol, one of our favourite cities.

We were deciding between a few hotels but settled on this one for reasons I honestly can't remember. When we arrived we were first struck by how dark the room was - the wood floors, dank rug, and upholstered wall behind the bed(!) sucked the light out the place. We pulled the heavy nets to let more light in, only to have an office full of people look up and wave at us... Swiftly closed them again. The room was quite depressing so we went out and it wasn't until the morning that I noticed I'd dropped a black t-shirt on the floor. When I picked it up, it was covered COVERED in dust.

There were dark, curly hairs in the bed, the shower was filthy. the wardrobe smelled nasty... AT 3am on one of the nights, a fellow guest spent 10 minutes hammering on his room door, kicking it, yelling... I called through to reception but no answer. Ugh, honestly, would never ever go back.

A Gem!

Stayed for 1 night.

Excellent position for both shopping centres and theatre/Colston Hall. Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable accommodation.
