The Mount Hotel
Room was lovely and was immacualte.
There were weddings on both nights that we stayed and so for peace and quiet and to be able to have a conversation that we were able to hear we had to go the restaurant as the bar area was packed. The food promised so much but was really disappointing especially considering the price. A lot of the food was microwaved which would have been fine to reheat etc but some was nucked to within an inch of its life and was solid. If you like your meat rare or even medium-rare ask for it to be cooked far less than you normally would. At around 7am on Saturday morning we were woken by the noise of a staff member clearing bottles and dragging bins/trolleys around. I appreciate that this needs to be done but surely it could have waited until most people had had breakfast. We were staying as we were going to the Midland Game fair for the weekend so really only needed a room and some food. The room was fine but food was really disappointing.
Lovely place to stay
