When I stepped into the hotel I was appalled on how unclean it was.
The stair carpet is shabby, the bannister need cleaning. It was horrible. There was no soap or shows gel in the bathroom. The furniture was mismatched in the bedroom and the breakfast room was disgusting. I will never stay there again. The room was well over priced.
Don't accept Room 32 (it's only fit for storage)
St Simeon hotel in Kensington, London is one to avoid if you are thinking of spending a weekend in the capital.
I stayed there recently, at a cost of £140 for one night.
The room was so small and the walls so angled that I found it difficult standing up straight and using the small toilet was very difficult. The room had no soap, cups, glasses, no tea or coffee making facilities and no proper shower. The bedding and pillows looked dirty and felt stiff. The breakfast area was really small and the food on offer very limited. Staff appeared scruffy. Overall it was definitely a night to forget!
