About the hotel
The Cumberland Arms Bed and Breakfast sits above a traditional pub; offering customers seven Real Ale hand pulls rotating exceptional beer from breweries spanning the British Isles and a wide variety of Real Cider. As one of Newcastle's longest-standing music venues you can always satisfy your particular music taste or try something new with a gig upstairs or one of the regular folk sessions in the back bar, some with a heritage going back 20 years. Nestled in the side of the Ouseburn Valley which has been recently regenerated and has become one of the most vibrant areas in the city.
The Valley is popular with musicians, artists and the cultural industries but has not forgotten its past with the Victorian Tunnel, Toffee Factory and redeveloped Ouseburn Farm. The Cumberland Arms is perfectly placed to visit Newcastle and the sights; within walking distance of the Quayside and City centre, easy distance to the Metro Centre and a short Metro ride to the Coast. The Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful gem hiding behind the side door. Opened in May 2009, it has four en-suite rooms with south-facing views over the Ouseburn, super king size beds, a feel of luxury and a relaxed atmosphere. It is the perfect place to get away from it all.

Really enjoyed our stay
The bar itself was quite small and very busy as there was a small vintage market in the grounds.
Bar probably not to everyone's taste as appears a little tired and dated. We thought it was quirky and enjoyed some lovely beers, lemon and ginger spritzer was my favourite.
The rooms were fab, clean and everything provided that you could possibly think of. Breakfast was served in the room and again no complaints. We will definitely stay again.
Very homely feel, pleasant helpful staff, great sized room, clean as a whistle.
If you happen to be a real ale and folk music fan then you couldn't ask for any better. Breakfast delivered to the room, there's a first, excellent. Powerful shower and proper coffee. Thank you to The Cumberland Arms. Would recommend it to anyone.
