Not very welcoming
First impressions are important and our welcome was cool to say the least.
After ringing the bell for several minutes, we were greeted by the proprietor who told us in best Basil Fawlty style that we were late as check in was from 4:00 - 6:00. Not quite sure why this was such a big deal as we would have been quite happy with an envelope with a key in it, if he was too busy to be there in person and it wasn't as if it were the middle of the night (7:30 on a spring evening)
Room wasn't huge (and we paid an extra £10 to avoid the smallest ones) but the view was lovely. Not sure why a TV set was provided as there is no signal and it just got in the way, A decent radio with long wave would have been more useful instead of the pathetic offering which again provided no reception. A nice location but quite poor value for money really.
