Tees Valley Apartments offer comfortable serviced two bedroomed apartments. Each apartment has 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms (with flexible bed arrangements), one ensuite and one larger family bathroom. The apartments enjoy a central location in Middlesbrough with easy transport links to the area, available on a nightly basis for leisure or business customers. Each apartment offers a comfortable living lounge area and a modern kitchen with all the facilities including dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer everything you need for a comfortable stay. Why are serviced apartments cheaper than hotels? Serviced apartment rates generally reduce according to the length of your stay. This is due to a number of factors including: • Maid service is normally provided less frequently than in a hotel. The cost savings accrued by the apartment operator in terms of reduced wage bills and less frequent laundering of sheets/towels are reflected in the reduced rate. • Serviced apartments do not have a restaurant. Hotels without a restaurant wouldn't be a hotel in most people's minds so most hotels are obliged to operate at least one. Not having to supplement the running costs of a restaurant helps keep our serviced apartment rates more competitive. • Most hotel rates include breakfast. Whether you have breakfast or not, your nightly hotel rate includes around 10 pounds to fund the cost of breakfast. Most people staying in serviced apartments have a choice: prepare your own breakfast or pay to have breakfast in the restaurant, a nearby cafe or on-the-go. The difference is that you're not paying for something you might not use.

Needs updating. Goiod location and a lovely old building
The apartment was tired and worn.
The bed and table were very wobbly. The bed lined worn and didn't match, just one wine glass and only one light bulb in the kitchen and bathroom and none in the bedside lamp. The batteries in the TV controller were flat and the kick boards under the kitchen units were damaged and sharp. Would stay again if I was told these things had been addressed.
Wouldnt stay again. Mould, smashed lights and locked out
Me and 2 of my friends went to go stay at this hotel on the 20/2/16, we got there to find that we couldnt get into the apartment and there was nobody we could talk to about it.
We had travelled for over 2 hours to get their, and was stood in the dark and the cold unable to get inside. Since there was no signs on the building i asked a couple who was stood outside if this was the right place. we was told yes. So i looked on the website and found a phone number and email address for the owners, i phoned and emailed them but had no reply, nor did they answer the phone. I rang this number 5+ times. The couple we had spoken to outside were also staying in the apartments so they explained about how they had got a conformation email about their stay, they then looked through there documentation for us until they found a person phone number. I rang this number and spoke to a man, who i told that i hadnt had an email but we were booked in and couldnt get it, i was told he would ring me back in 5 minutes. 5 minutes later his wife rang me back and said that due to the payment not being paid in advance, the room had being cancelled. She asked me to pay with bank details over the phone, and then they would give me the information to get into the room. This was a complete shock to me, as it was stated on laterooms.com (who we booked through) that you had to pay on the day when you arrived, so i had the money waiting in my purse to pay when we got there. I explained to the woman on the phone that i had the money in cash to pay and not in the bank and she told me that they lived far away and her husband would come down, but he wouldnt be there for another half an hour. Baring in mind this meant 2 young girls waiting outside with all our bags, in the cold, in an unfamiliar place. 30 minutes later a man pulled up in a ran and asked us if we were waiting to get in, we said yeah and told him his name. The man then showed us up to our room, told us the codes to get in and out and left. Half an hour later the man had come back to the room and told us that we needed to produce ID to prove who we were, incase we were planning a party.
As if that wasnt bad enough the room was nothing like stated or showed in the pictures, it was all one room with an onsuite bathroom, there was one bed, one camp bed and one sofa bed, all cramped together. The lamp was smashed, the light fitting in the roof had live wires showing. The tap in the kitchen did not work at all and produced no water. the "kitchen area" was a sink and a cooker just up from the beds. The drawers near the bed was broken, and the bathroom was not only filled with dust and dirt. But had mould growing up the shower, on the wall and in the vent. It hadnt even been tidied before our arrival as there was empty toliet roll tubes just laying around. There was also a toilet brush just at the side of the toilet with nothing for it to go into. When we looked in the boiler room there was cheap dirty bedding stuffed in there against the boiler. The beds were uncomfortable, the room was tiny and it ruined our weekend away. we paid £79 for this room for one night, and it wasnt worth the money. Next time will use a hotel!
