Full of Character

If you are looking for an atmospheric, quirky old inn full of character then this is the place.

I don't really like chain hotels and I love places like this. Really friendly proprietors, seriously good food (my locally sourced steak was cooked to perfection and I am damned fussy about my meat) and a relaxed, easy going atmosphere. Sure it is old and could do with a refit but so could I. Breakfast was superb - some of the best bacon I have ever tasted.

Very comfortable stay

Clean and comfortable.

We had a room facing the road, but it was very quiet with no noise. We slept very well. Friendly people who run it, especially Oliver who was very polite and friendly. If we are ever visiting this part of England again, we would definitely stay there.
