The Cliffe at Dinham
Arrived late without warning, after cancelled trains.
Staff still welcoming. This is second time here and I shall be happy to return. It is quiet, accessible to mobile non-drivers and very good value.
Nice hotel in a convenient location
Booked this hotel despite varying comments on TripAdvisor.
Well located within a short stroll of the town. The room (Room 5) is dual aspected with a lovely view of the castle on one side and countryside on the other. Really bright, clean and spacious with a fantastically comfortable gigantic (super king size???) bed. The bathroom was clean, fresh and modern. We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant even though the TripAdvisor reviews were not the best. Really glad that we did. The menu was varied, the food really well prepared and very tasty, and the wine list was well chosen. We had 2 starters, 2 main courses and one dessert (cheese board) plus a bottle of italian red for £68.95 - the equivalent of an Indian or Chinese back home but much better quality in lovely, convenient surroundings. Sorry if the review seems a bit over the top but we really did enjoy our stay at The Cliffe - it was that good!
