Apple Tree Bed and Breakfast
A lovely stay at Apple Tree Cottages Bed and Breakfast.
My husband and myself were cycling the coast to coast Trans Pennine Trail and a car is advisable as even though Apple Tree Cottages is a beautiful place it is situated in quite an isolated part of Saltmarshe and there are no shops in walking distance. The bedroom was really comfortable and very clean. The shower room was small and compact but we had everything we needed, fresh towels, toiletries etc. We would definitely return but by car the next time.
Tranquil characterful farm stay.
We made a flying visit to this farm as an overnight stop on the way to pick up our son from uni Cost wise.
It worked out on a par with premier inn (including breakfasy) but it was so much better than a premier inn. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in, our host waited up until after 11.30pm to let us in. It was peaceful and quiet, and when we woke in the morning the surroundings were beautiful too. We wished we could have stayed longer, and hope to visit again one day soon!
