Rutland Lodge

This was a last minute booking, made without any knowledge of the accomodation or amenities.

We had previously spent time in North Devon and wanted to extend our holiday for a little longer, mainly because rain ensured we didn't get the best out of our time. So we booked the Rutland Lodge and set off for South Devon. We were not disappointed. Upon arrival Richard greeted us as we turned in the drive. He was extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed. Throughout the course of our stay he was extremely attentive, a delight to talk to and ensured our privacy was never disturbed. The property itself is a lovely character building with high vaulted ceilings, immaculately tidy throughout and has a lovely conservatory to sit and enjoy a morning tea / breakfast. Rutland Lodge is ideally situated for a short walk into Torquay and close enough for days out to Paignton Zoo or Dartmouth Castle, which we took full advantage of. We will be recomending Rutland Lodge to our friends and family and are already looking to make a return visit next year.
